My name is Begashaw Meberate, the CEO and Founder of Bfarm-Tech. I am an agripreneur by passion and an agriculture expert by profession, graduated with a master's degree in Rural Development Management with more than 15 years of experience in the Ethiopian agriculture sector, with a burning desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of small-scale farmers through digitizing existing agricultural practices and services. The defining moment I became an agripreneur was after I observed farmers in my province were threshing crops with animal feet, which caused a lack of agro-mechanization services. Consequently, I applied to the Tony Elumelu Foundation entrepreneurship program, where I received business skill training and a $5,000 grant to help me launch my company. Bfarm-Tech has a multidisciplinary team from agriculture, business management, marketing, ICT, finance, mechanization engineering, and digital technology. Begashaw Meberate (male): The CEO and Co-founder of Bfarm-Tech. He has a master's degree in rural development management with 15 years of proven experience in the rural development and agricultural extension field in Ethiopia. Workalemahu Lakew (Male): Co-Founder & Digital Agriculture Director. He has a master's in rural development management with practical knowledge and 15 years of proven experience in rural development, digital agricultural extension, and advisory service sectors in Ethiopia. Tigist Alemayehu (female): Co-Founder & Digital Mechanization Lead. She has a master’s degree in mechanization engineering & 6 years of practical knowledge and experience in digital agricultural mechanization technologies and field coordinator/mechanization training sectors. Tiruneh Getachew (Male): Co-Founder & Marketing and Operational Manager. He has a master's degree in marketing management and has 7+ years in marketing and customer service management. Binyam Eshetu (male): Co-Founder, ICT and Digital Platform Manager: He has a master’s degree in computer science and information systems with 7 years of experience in IoT and mobile applications and data analysis.
